Labor Day Activities.

Labor day is just around the corner and why not find some fun activities over the long weekend. Labor day weekend is the last hurrah for summer and might as well end it with a bang. Here are some interesting, fun and yummy activities I have found.

Labor Day Food Truck Rally

It will be a laborious task — grueling, difficult, daunting — to choose from which one of the more than 25 food trucks, stands and carts you will order your holiday eve dinner. Grilled cheese sandwiches from Ruthie's Rolling Cafe? Ice cream treats from Coolhaus? Yummy Elotes, Cousins Maine Lobster, Chez Flo, Nammi, Sullivan Texas BBQ, Taste of Cuba. Maybe just the one with the shortest line? Choose wisely, then dine while enjoying tunes from the Downtown Fever party band and DJs from Decks in the Park and admiring the Dallas skyline.

Sep. 1 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Klyde Warren Park, 2012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway, Dallas. Free admission. Food prices vary. facebook.com/klydewarrenparkdallas.\

Labor of Love Homebrew Festival

Whether your bathtub is full of pumps and bubblers or you're merely pleased to drink others' wacky flavor experiments, this eighth annual competition celebrates the brave hobbyists of DIY craft beer. Featuring lawn games and live psych rock music, the outdoor festival is free to attend and open to whole families. Those 21 and up can purchase a $10 membership, which includes a tasting glass and unlimited homebrew samples. Take extra cash for food trucks or to purchase full glasses of DEBC beers and last year's winner, Long Haul CDL by Big Rig Brew Crew.

Sept. 1 from 5 to 10 p.m. at Deep Ellum Brewing Co., 2823 St. Louis St., Dallas. Free admission. $10 for homebrew membership. deepellumbrewing.com.

TBAAL Riverfront Jazz Festival (September 3–5, 2021)

The best place to celebrate Labor Day Weekend must be Riverfront Jazz Festival by The Black Academy of Arts and Letters (TBAAL). You'll be able to enjoy nightly music over three days in three venues across downtown Dallas. The epicenter is located at The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. The sensational lineup features jazz, blues, R&B, soul, and neo-soul performers.

Labor Day at Dallas Arboretum (September 3–6, 2021)

Another idea for the long weekend is Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. The park typically hosts special events, such as Kelley Family Days in Children's Garden or Harvest Tea at DeGolyer Restaurant. Besides, you can check out A Tasteful Place for some cooking series or horticulture presentations. Note that the program of activities might differ yearly, so check the events calendar before your visit.

Bottle FETE Dallas (September 4–5, 2021)

Lastly, Labor Day is a great occasion to unwind, and there is no better place than the annual Caribbean BYOB experience. Bring your own bottle and anticipate plenty of fun and entertainment during 12 hours of partying from 10 am to 10 pm. There will be DJs, an outdoor stage and light show, live entertainment, and special guests. Tickets cost $10.

For the tickets and latest updates, please check with the official websites (see External Resources below.)

Hope these are some ideas for you and your family.
