Memorial Weekend Activities!

Memorial Day ends up being a long weekend for most of us and sometimes we take off some extra time. Now that restrictions have lifted and we can feel a little more sense of freedom , why not get out and have some fun. Since the majority of us here at this school live in Fort Worth or close to it, that is where this will be based.

1. Cycle, hike or horseback ride along the Trinity Trails. There are several trailheads suitable for horse trailer parking and bike rentals are available from Fort Worth Bike Sharing or Mellow Johnny's if you don't have your own.

2. Discover your favorite new cold treat at Steel City Pop, Creamistry, Amorino Gelato, Melt and Curly's Frozen Custard.

3. Snap selfies throughout Fort Worth in front of 200+ murals adorning the city walls.

4. Take Fido out to play at one of the 60 dog-friendly restaurants or four dog parks.

5. Cheers to the long weekend when you discover the Fort Worth Ale Trail, a self-guided trail featuring 13 local breweries.

6. Head to Panther Island Pavilion to kayak, paddleboard or canoe the river, and then end the day with movies under the stars at Coyote Drive-In.

7. Mosey on down to the Trailhead at Clearfork for food, fun and luxury shopping at the Shops at Clearfork.

8. Watch the world's best golfers compete in the 75th annual Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Golf Club.

9. Enjoy a little porch sitting with a “Cowtown Cocktail" on the deck overlooking the Trinity at Woodshed Smokehouse.

10. Take a boat around Eagle Mountain Lake or grill your own Memorial Day meal at Twin Points Park.
